Must Have Nail Polish Colours!

As you all know, I am absolutely in LOVE with nail polishes! I change my nail colour a couple of times a week, and at least once a week if I particularly like the colour or am feeling lazy. :) And because I love nail colours so much and I spend so much time just looking at colours and swatches and different brands, I thought it’d be a great idea to share with you guys a quick (or not so quick) must have nail polish colours.

I hope these colours help you get started with your polish collection and help you add to your current one as well. :) After all, you can never have too many colours and it’s always so fun to see a pop of colour on your nails!

So here goes!

White!

White polishes are definitely a must have for your nail polish collection! They look great alone, lending an absolutely clean, neat and polished look to your daily life and they go with practically everything! Not to mention, they are absolutely perfect for doing up your own French Manicure.

Black!

A lot of people think that black nail polish is just for those goth/punk people who love to rock the dark look. However, what with so many celebrities spot wearing black polishes, it’s slowly becoming a staple for every girl’s nail polish collection. Black lends a dark and mysterious air, and is a fashion statement on it’s own!

You can choose to get a glossy black polish.

Or a matte black polish. Both are totally awesome for different occasions. :)

Nude!

Nude polish! These colours are absolutely chic (especially on short nails!) and will work well for work and play! If you’re looking for a quick way to update your look or even to cover up those yellow nail beds, nude polish are perfect as they pretty much match every skin tone and are subtle & professional enough for work. :)

Pink!

As a girl, you can never have too many pink and red nail polish (more on this below)! Whether it’s a super light barely there pink, or a bright popping Barbie pink, this colour is a must for every fashionista! They’re fun and flirty and oh-so-girly! How can you not love pink? :)

Red!

Red nail polish like red lipstick is here to stay! Red nails will never go out of style, they’re just usually done up in different shades and the shape of the nails change as well. If you were to wear long red nails, it’ll look totally different from short red nails. :)

Shimmer/Glitter!

Nothing says instant glam than glittery/shimmery nail polishes! They are lovely worn alone, or paired with a basic base for an extra pop of sparkles! Perfect for glamming up your simple nail polish for a night out!

And those are the few must have nail polish colours! You can choose to have a variety of 1 colour, or you can choose to have just 1 staple of each colour, it really is up to you!
