J Track Review

As a person who is most lazy and who LOVES to lounge around in incredibly lazy and comfy outfits, I was most excited when October Origin’s J Tracksuit was on sale for a week! Excitedly, I went and placed an order and according to the measurements got myself a size S. As these tracksuits are on a pre-order basis, I waited a couple of weeks before the item arrived at my doorstep.

That fine morning when the postman came to deliver the parcel I was MOST excited! I knew it was gonna be my parcel and I knew my comfy, loungey tracksuit was gonna be mine! I quickly ran downstairs to retrieve the parcel from the postman and promptly ran back upstairs to tear open the package!

Most unfortunately, my joy ended there. While I do love the material and design of the J Tracksuit, I was most disappointed in the size. As I followed the measurements and got myself a Size S, I was hoping that it would fit me perfectly or at the most be just a tad too small. What I absolutely did NOT expect, was the fact that the tracksuit be an ENTIRE size smaller.

I put it on rather excitedly, only to discover to my dismay that the shoulders were WAY too small for me, the length of the sleeves WAY too short as well. Nevermind the fact that the length of the entire top as well as the pants are a tad too short, those I could deal with. What I absolutely could not deal with was the fact that the shoulders and the length of the sleeve was so short that it made me look like a giant wearing a kid’s jacket. Yes, it’s that bad. My BFF was totally laughing her head off at me!

I know that most places do not offer refunds or exchanges, but I thought that hey, since the measurements of the item and the measurements given were an ENTIRE size different I though I could at least at the most get an exchange. I really do like the tracksuit very much, and I just truly wanted one that would fit me perfectly.

Unfortunately, that did not happen. Which I already expected, understood and did not mind. And while I do understand that measurements are taken as accurately as possible and sometimes there will be a slight varying in the measurements. What truly surprised me was that, apparently each outfit’s measurements has the chance of being up to 5cm difference! That’s up to TWO sizes in difference! Which then just got me thinking, if an outfit is gonna be up to TWO sizes in differences, how will you truly know which size is yours? And what’s the point of picking a size if there’s gonna be a chance you might end up with one that is too big or in my case too small? At least if it were too big, there’s always the option of altering it smaller, now how in the world am I supposed to alter this bigger?

Just imagine, if you bought a pair of jeans in size 26, only for the jeans to be 5cm smaller, there is absolutely NO way that you’ll be able to fit into it! Or even if you do manage, you’ll just find the jeans too tight and too uncomfortable. And seriously, who wants that! No one! Especially not when what you’re buying is suppose to be a comfortable lounge outfit.

Ah, I am most disappointed! I really like this outfit! While the material and quality of this outfit is truly worth every penny, the size difference truly was not.
Sadly, I do not know what to do with my too small J track except attempt to sell it off! So if any of you ladies who are smaller than me, here’s your chance to grab this tracksuit at a discount. :)

Has anyone else bought the J Track before? I’ve seen lots of good reviews on it. Am now wondering, am I just the unlucky one who unfortunately got one that was too small?

Let me know your thoughts. Also, should I attempt to get another piece in size M?

Till next time!

  2. Hello!
No worries about it. :) It's all done and over with and can't do much anyways.
However, the tracksuit is being reserved already, so if it becomes available I'll let you know. :)
Thanks and have a nice day. :)
