Like it or not, it's the new 'in' thing this season.
To be absolutely, totally without lies honest, I do.not.like.animal.prints. There I said it! I have admitted to not liking animal prints. Hate me all you want, but I believe that animal prints, should be on an animal! Well, alright I will begrudgingly admit that there are SOME animal prints that are attractive, edgy and fun. But to be once again, absolutely, totally without lies honest, most of them... are absolutely, totally without lies honest a big MISS!
So here I am, supposedly supposed to be editing photos for the latest post -which coincidentally includes one animal print item-, got distracted and decided to take a look at what's happening on the international runways. The first thing I see out of Paris Fashion Week... You guessed it, ANIMAL PRINTS! Sorry, no prizes to be given away at this point.
Here are a few photos from Paris Fashion Week.
Balmain Autumn/Winter
Okay, let me share another absolutely, totally without lies honest fact. I find it incredibly hard to be very objective about runway animal prints because I am very very persuaded by the designers! About those 2 designs above, am loving the cut and fit of the outfits but not so much the prints. And seriously, not a whole lot of people will be able to pull off those prints. Seriously. And tho I do LOVE metallics, metallics pants are just so... so... so... 90's!Latest Swimwear by Next
Wow. Multi coloured animal prints. Aren't the normal animal colours not beautiful enough? Why must add rainbow colours! Okay la, I know some people will and do like it, but can I just say that I don't! As usual the cut of the swimwear is really sexy and nice. But why, the colours! Not wanting to sound crass or anything, but the black and white zebra like print bikini bottom, well looks kinda like hair. No one wants to see any such hair at the bottom!Ho ho! But there is ONE person I can think of that wears animals fabulously! And that tho we may try and think we can pull the outfits off, we really just can't.
Who is that person? None other than, Gwen Stefani la! :)
Loving, loving, loving, loving this! Sexy white halter neck, with a below the knee figure hugging dress and a slim waist belt. Love. Love. Love. Especially love the shiny clutch and pointy basic black heels! Loving how she keeps everything else so fuss free while the dress is a total knock out! Love.
Okay, this one I am not loving so much, but she still manages to pull it off so well! Imagine if any of us regular people wore it, I think we'd look like Tarzan's wife. How does this woman do it!
Love the upper part of the dress, not too crazy about the dipped moss green bottom. I know animals are from the jungle, but no need to bring the jungle to you right?
Anyways, that's all for animal, tribal, jungle, things that roar prints.
So what's your take? Yay or Nay to animal prints?
Ps: I wonder should I put a disclaimer saying that all post here are strictly our own opinions and you may agree or disagree as you like but I still am not quite that much a fan of the leopard, zebras, tiger... then I thought panther? But panther's don't have prints! Oh well. :)
