Because this festival is about 11 days long you will be seeing the same Stars in different outfits. :)
So on to stars and dresses!
Snap! Gotcha!
First up, we have Kate Beckinsale!
A simple off shoulder silk Gucci Premiere gown with shiny shimmery details.
Kate posing with interesting man Tim Burton wearing a dark plum Christian Dior dress. Am loving the cut and colour!
Left – Right: Pretty pink one shoulder Temperley London Diablo gown embellished with Chopard Jewels; looking ethereal in an iridescent Armani Prive gown (Prive really loves the shiny shimmery ethereal like colours huh).
Of all her dresses that she wore to this event, I must say that my favourite is definitely this one by Marchesa! It is in the prettiest pale winter colour with teeny tiny sparkles on the bodice and a beautiful tulle skirt.
A little local support please!
Michelle Yeoh looking lovely in a pale yellow Roberto Cavalli Couture dress, and a lovely nude pink by Emilio Pucci. Sigh, will I be the next Malaysian who gets to go to Cannes? I promise I will have a lovelier dress! Not that our Datuk’s one isn’t lovely, because it is! I’m just saying that I would like to have the chance to pick a lovelier dress. Yes? :)
Teeheeheehee. Eva Longoria Parker looking teeny tiny next to Aishwarya Rai. Eva in a beautiful off shouldered gown by Elie Saab Couture, Aishwarya also in a beautiful off shoulder lace gown by Elie Saab. What you didn’t see in the photo on the right was, Eva’s assistant helping her out with her train! :)
Ever since I watched Emily Blunt in Devil Wears Prada, I’ve always quite liked her. And here she is now in a simple Greecian single shoulder Giorgio Armani gown. Sigh, why are the simple Greecian gowns always so lovely.
From a simple clean white gown, she moves on to this fiery red cut out dress by Georges Chakra. Like like like! Especially the red with the cut outs at the back! Like!!!
Okay, seriously there are just way too many beautiful dresses at this year’s Cannes Festival, so sad to say gotta cut them short. But before ending, I would like to part with what has to be my favourite gown in this post…
Cate Blanchett in a beautiful black and white dress by Alexander McQueen! Love. Love. Love!
Other worthy mentions. :)
Mischa Barton in Marchesa; Model Doutzen Kroes in Roberto Cavalli.
Okay, to be honest, I don’t know who she is but I gotta say I LOVE the bright sunshine yellow peep-toe pumps and the lovely black and white polka dot dress!
Naomi Watts in Gucci Premiere; Paris & Nicky Hilton. And I must say, this is one of the few times I am looking at Paris and not cringing at her outfits. It’s a lovely deep navy blue. Reminds me of the ocean.
Dree Hemingway in Valentino Couture. I personally am loving the nude shades with the bright neon yellow, and not many people can pull of neon. Let alone neon yellow, but I must say definitely liking the dress. Elizabeth Banks in a beautiful grey and pink dress with symmetrical layers by Georges Chakra. Am absolutely loving the different shades and mix of pink and grey.
Lastly, Carey Mulligan in Prada, from their Print Collection. This dress is so fun and so casual. I would wear it out anytime! All the time! It’s cute, it’s fun, the prints give it a totally whimsical charm. Sigh. Wants.
Till next time,
xoxo
WN.
