Monday Blues

Because I so rarely ever keep my fingernails long, I always, always, always feel obliged to paint my nails up French style! Today, I wanted to do in the classic white French tip, the only sad part is that my OPI Alpine Snow is now all thick and goopy making it practically impossible to get a smooth application, let alone trying to French tip it!

In my sadness, I picked a substitute colour. Which is this medium tone sky blue. The colours that I put on underneath is OPI Heart Throb, just 1 layer, while the tip is China Glaze Bahamian Escape, about 2 layers.

Okay, before you view the pictures, please remember that I’m a very impatient sort of girl and I just don’t have the steady hand of a surgeon. So what you will see is a not very well done French tip. Or at least up-close. From a far, I am happy to say they look pretty darn decent! :D Pats self on back.

Sigh, check out the little chip on my pointer finger.

Personally, am not that big a fan of blue. But I must say that this shade of blue is really rather lovely. It’s a creamy smooth medium tone sky blue.

As for the application, I do rather like China Glaze’s brush and texture of the polish. It’s pretty consistent, goes on smoothly and if my technique was better, I’m sure that these French tips would look way better!

Today it’s blue. Tomorrow I might put another colour, just because I am just not a fan of blue! No offense to any blue fans out there! The colour just isn’t me!

So that’s it for this super short zip quick post!
Till next time!
xoxo

  1. hello! :) you could always use a polish thinner to thin your nail polish but i find that quite hard to find here *cough* maybe i did not look hard enough* but if you're willing to risk, putting in a few drops of nail polish remover might make the polish un-thick/un-goopy :D but it could be risky. :X tho i've tried it before but i can't guanrantee the same results :\

  2. the sad part is that i did try to put a few drops of nail polish remover inside. it worked for me before, but now it did make the whole thing less thick and goopy, but eurgh. i don't think there's hope for it anymore.
unless by some miracle of miracle i manage to find a polish thinner! hahaha
